IMCO 2" shorty lower unit for sale

Big Red

Well-known member
The guy that has this is a good friend, and I will vouch for the condition and it was never hurt or beat on.

1.5 Gear
1 1/4 Prop shaft (xr)
Satin finish.

Purchased new 2 years ago. Low hours. freshwater use only. Excellent shape.

Added 2 small inlet holes on top side of bullet to help with water pressure.
Can be filled if not needed, but it helped greatly with my boat.

$2700 shipped.
$2500 local pickup.

What did he go with after this?

SOLD

Sorry just seen your post winter, he stuck the stock lower back on. To make the story short, somehow the computer on his boat got fried. They think lightning did it from the water on a boat lift. A new computer had to be reprogrammed to run the imco for some low water alarms. He did not want to deal with it because the imco gain wasnt worth it. So he just went back with his stock lower.

Just saw your post, lol. that looked like a really good deal. I sprung for a new one knowing i'm upping the power next season and a good lower will come in handy. We'll have to see on that one, but was curious at the time what, if any gains he saw. Looking like these lowers only matter when you have some snot under the hatch.

imco shorty

I put the shorty on and it gained 3-4 mph, is it worth it,only if your a speed junkie, but seriously ,the boat handles much better than stock unit did.Was on the edge before and with shorty ,runs like on rails, spinning a 30P Bravo one labbed.
Installed on a 24' with HP500
