I need a prop for my 76 Merc 1150 Inline 6.

There is a prop on it, that is in bad shape.
Mercury
48 77344 A4 17Pitch (13-1/4"x17)

There is a guy on C.L. that has a prop for sale
4877348 A45 21P (12-3/4"x21)

Will it fit??? Thanks

Yes, any mercury prop with a 4 1/4" housing diameter will fit as ling as you use the correct thrust washer. Some years were slightly different.

Yes, mercury props in the 12 1/2" to 13 1/2" diameter range are for the 4 1/4" hub. For every 2" increase in pitch, they are 1/4" smaller in diameter. The exception would be the smaller hub props for the 50hp motors that are in the 12 to 13" diameter range for pontoons and heavy boats, but they are only in pitch size's of like 8" to 12". As far as I know, there are no 12 3/4 by 21" props for the smaller motors. The 50 and 60hp big foots use the same props as the 115hp motors.

Boatman....
Appreciate the clarification of information. Right on, I really appreciate it! I'll scoop it up, if the guy will give me the price I'm willing to pay.
Thanks again!

Buddy has a 16 SS Sidewinder with a 115 TOP and he didn't have the hp to swing a 21 p stainless prop.Boat would have to be pretty light I would think.

I run a 21 p on my 150 hp inline and have turned a 24p and thats on a 16.3 trimate II. I use a 17 p 4 blade for water sking though

I have a 21p on a 84 sportfire (850 lbs) with a 115 merc tower. She gps's at 58 mph @ 5900 rpm. Air and water temps in the mid 30's so she's running fast. Ordered a 22 P mercury lightspeed, hopefully see 60 mph.
