:eyecrazy: BaaaaaH! Allstate wrote me a policy and now just called to tell me they can't insure it cause of the big ole 300 on back! :irked:

Who do you have your boat ins through??? Kinda pissed because the policy was only $710/yr and the other quotes I got were double....

I've had great luck w/ StateFarm. I insure my 30' for just over $700.00 a yr. I do have several other policies with them though.

Good luck-

mine 's through state farm , less than $200per yr. ! not the same setup . older shorter less hp , ya know !

Insurance

Pulsare 2100 CD with 300X
Got my policy with Progressive Ins. Approx $500. I have had the policy since Nov. 2006.

Allstate or GEICO would not write a policy for my rig. I have since received offers from GEICO.

I think I'm about 2-300 for an 87 starliner with a 225 on the back.Progressive Insurance. 800 237 2060
That includes breakdowns on the water and on the road. They've been real easy to do business with.
On the other hand I've never had to collect, fortunately.

Insurance for your Checkmate

I also have had great luck with State Farm, 03 2100 CD w/250 Pro XB = $200/yr, 02 Powerquest 380 Avenger = $700/yr

I have my policy through Esurance....(ends up coming from american general ins. co) but is about $550/yr for my 253 convincor with a low deductable ($250). About the best I found for myself (and driving record). They are pretty good to deal with.

When I went looking for ins. for my 1983 Enforcer/225hp, I was turned down by state farm, nationwide, allstate, progressive, and geico. They all told me that Checkmate was on there do not cover list because they were a performance boat and capable of speeds over 55. I think it is BS! I called Kip for our weekly BS session and he gave me the number for Campisano Marine. They are a Checkmate dealer and an ins. agent. They got me covered with no problems. boatman

Progressive insured my 2100 w/ 300XS I had the summer of 2008 for $489/yr. Replacement value was $45,000. -Craig

Thanks guys! I guess I'll be calling around again... I get to keep my current policy until 3/9 but need to set something up by then.

Oh, I'll be BOATIN in 10 DAYS!!! Can't wait to pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

State Farm insured my Pulsare/225 Promax no problem. I did have to promise to keep it at or below 55 though :rof:

:devil:oops the speed is off by a little bit more than most

i had the same no insurance problems with my stv never could get insurance on that boat but run the numbers it says unlimited hp, race only. damm insurance companies

My agent showed me his HUGE book on do's and don'ts for the insurance business the year I went to insure my Hydrostream Virage Turbo.

While State Farm will insure about any V-bottom boat with a USCG plate, the book specifically said to NOT insure ANY tunnel boats, twin engine boats, or boats capable of 70+ mph speeds. So when I insured my Virage Turbo, I listed it as a 'Tri-Hull' :rof:

Man, I still can't find anyone under $1400 for the year... oh well, you wanna play you gotta pay I guess. State Farm can get fk'd, at least in the state of FL. Progressive, BoatUs, USAA, etc are all about the same @ 1400ish.

8 more days I'll be on the water!!!!!!!!!!
