for those of us not eating easter ham this minute ,,,,,, what do you think of jetskis or pwc ?????????

They're not very much fun when the the owner of one decides the front of your cottage, is the only fun place to ride on the entire lake.

But passing them, especially when they don't expect it, is always fun.

They're okay but I see so many people taking them for a test spin that don't realize you have to give it gas to turn. Its funny until he or she slams into your boat, opps!

Then theres the time one buzzed about 3' away from the back of my boat going about 60 mph. As usual, theres always a few idiots out there to mesh it up for the rest of em.

MANY HAVE TRIED, BUT NONE HAVE BEAT'EN ME YET IT'S COOL TO HAVE FREIND WITH ONE OR TWO TO JUMP ON EVERY NOW AND THEN. BUT TO GET OFF THE WATER EVERYDAY AT DUSK WOULD KILL ME.

My biggest complaint is most of the people on PWC have no ideal about rules of the road. They will cross your bow while you are trying to keep from killing them. It's fun to try jumping someone's wake, but I had one idiot try jumping my wake while the daughter was wakeboarding behind me. I stopped and gave him a piece of my mind and he acted like I was the one doing something wrong.

I think they are a blast. Fast and fun like a motorcycle on the water. I have a XLT 1200. 155HP in a 10ft boat. I keep it right on the beach where I live so it is a real easy in and out.

they are fun for a while! i agree with everyone here about them and same thing happened to me as it did with Honha Herb!

I rode a friends jet ski a couple of times , but the fun ran out fast . In my opinion they are impractical . For the price one pays for a new one , he / she can get a decent used Checkmate or any other brand and get alot more use out of it . The problem with jet skis are the operators not the vessles . The machines only responds to the drivers input . Stop creating new laws and enforce the ones we already have . Take the iresponsible operators off the lake and let the mature operators ride in peace .

I agree with conv240. Instead of trying to enforce laws we already have, our local gov. HAS TO MAKE NEW ONES!!!!This year, in NY, you NEED A LICENSE to operate a jet ski with a saftey course certificate! Guess what, do you think this will actually change the way most jet skiers drive their vessels? I say no, as it is as of last year, a jet ski could not come within 500 ft. of a boat under power but that didn't fly with the SHERRIFF cause, he is never in the middle of the lake. Always by shore, checking on anchored boats in front of bars. Trying to bust our b@##s. If there are any law enforcement personal reading this, please enforce "THE LAWS" and not "WAIT" for one to enforce.
