Just Received New Factory Interior

Victor

New member
Ordered a new interior for my 1991 Pulse about three weeks ago from the factory. Mike was great to work with. I am very impressed with the personalized service and the fact that they can look up the original factory shipping order to get the colors right. Also impressed that they were willing to let me pick out the specific sections I needed. They even threw in a 1992 brochure (guess 1991 wasn't available) and the original factory order ticket. The ticket was particularly interesting to see as I am the second owner, the first apparently lost the original.

I limited my order to the back section (which was completely rotted) and from seat/cusion covers. By not ordering the full package, including new buckets, I was able to save $300.

Only disappointment was that the factory does no longer has the exact same color or pattern scheme as originally made in 1991. Instead of a three color scheme with the base teal and a "hot pink" stripe, it is a two colors scheme with the base white. I am trying to restore the boat to as close to original as possible (as it is the first year Pulse), but also want to do it as efficiently as possible.

Bottom line is that it is still all original checkmate, looks great, will be very easy to install and was very reasonably priced at $1,400.

I have never found a manufacturer so easy to work with.

Great news Victor. I am planning on ordering a compleate new interior for my 89 predictor. I can't wait until its all said and done

Interior

Thanks for the work I build all the wood parts for all interiors that we make at Checkmate Boats. I have worked their since 1988 so I know all the boats we produced through through the early 80s It is a lot of fun trying to remember how each boat goes together THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR ORDER Alan

Your welcome Alan. Very impressed with the workmanship and the fact that the company is willing to do custom orders for older boats.

Will post another thread one I put it all together in a few weeks (trying to find time during holiday season is tough).

Me too!

I couldn't agree more!!! I am doing the same thing. I just purchased a Pulse 186. I am going to be ordering a new interior soon. I'm going to get all 3 seats for $1700. Checkmate is awesome. They couldn't be easier to work with.

One point to correct you on though... I believe 1990 was the first year for the Pulse. I have a 1990 Pulse 186.

Post some pics of your restoration!
