Just got home from the lake. More fast boats out than i have seen in a long time.Poker run should be crazy.:bounce:

Just saw on OSO,KellyO,used to have the blown milk check boat posted that DonRoc got killed while testing his boat. I don't know how many of you were following his engine build, but i hate to hear when a fellow boater is killed. At least he was doing what he loved!

Damn.. that sucks. I've talked to Don a little thru pm's in the past over on OSO about his engine build and his -3 imco drive- he was a great guy.. terrible news.

Thats a real bummer.

Yes, terrible news. From what i have read he was testing the engine and had a laptop connected and was using it.His head mechanic was driving and said about 80 the steering started shaking and when he throttled back it made a hard right and ejected them. It really makes you think what a dangerous hobby it is. Like i posted earlier, at least he died doing what he loved..................

Think there will be any flat water to be found that weekend??? I'm guessing no..

Also, whats the odds of getting a place to stay this late? Again guessing nothing will be avail.

I considered bringing the 21 down so that Mark can do the final touch on the ECM.. but I have the feeling I'll be waiting to get it taken care of till spring, cause I really don't think this weekends water would allow it... maybe a spring time road trip to LA is in order:D

Its really close as far as tuning... just below 2500 is maybe just a fuzz lean. Still feels as strong as ever everywhere else and no detonation now.. lovin that.

You can go to the dam and probably find good water, usually it's good.Come on down, let me know your plans!!!!!:thumb:

Forecast is looking kinda iffy.. what are they saying down your way Barry for friday and sat?
Right now they are giving scat. storms anywhere from 40-60%. I don't think they know what the tropical thing is going to do,so just wait and see. Don't give up yet, wev'e done this all summer!!!!

I finally made to the poker run today, between my crazy life and this screwed up weather. I am very sorry that i didn't get to meet up with everyone, but i did try.I talked to most of you and it seems like you had fun.I was able to talk to Harold and Jason Kunkel,i had to run down the flame boat, thank god they were going slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

barry where were you, looked all over for you, unless i saw you friday nite and dont remember it cause of that bottle of rum i drank

We didn't make it down to the dam. Some things came up and we couldn't go until sat. morning. Then the rain and storms came so we put in at waitsboro just so we could watch. sorry we missed you.

Had a great time... talked to Bog and Shane some at State dock last night... I gotta get Shane to let me run with him up to the Erie islands next season.

Barry, we left kinda late, or else we would have stopped by.

Good news is that we ran from State Dock to Burnside and then the dam to pull out today with Troy and Jamisyn... some good runnin and conditions- just watch out for that driftwood in spots! Both of us managed to avoid everything.

I'll have to get some pics off Echo's camera and post em when I get the chance.
