Thought I'd share this photo of my Checkmate Pulsare 1850BR. Been waiting for 2 years to get a shot of her wide open and trimmed out.

hey john

looks like a boat of the month pic to me

looks great

do you get any chine walk ?

looks like she's flying

daren

Chine walk? Yes. At about 52 the hull pops free of the surface tension, noticeably, and you must balance the boat on the small pad, which I guess is all that's left in the water. It takes time behind the wheel and no rogue waves to keep her at top speed for any length of time. Thanks for the kind comments.

chine walk?

chine walk?whats that feel like??I am new to this, got my checkmate this sat.ran it wide open..I think,5800-6000 rpm jackplate up trim up and one hell of a rooster,I saw 60 on the speedo, but the original owner said it was off by about 7 miles..scary at 1st,but slowly got use to it..big difference from my 70hp centerconsole...lots of fun,but always got to be on the edge of your seat looking for rough spots in the water and keeping all the trims right to keep from over reving...but still lots of fun...

Geat pic,it don't look like a 18,looks bigger,I hope to have some up soon,,would like to get some videos too,I see that SeaMate hangs here, just met him on the river about 3 weeks ago,Maybe i can get some videos of him and he can get some of me..

Looks good! Maybe a little wet still, might want to try a Tempest Plus and raise the engine a tad if you're looking to go faster....:p

Thanks for the recommendations JW. We do alot of tubing, wakeboarding and skiing; therefore I must compromise my setup. In your opinion, how much more speed could be gained by raising the engine and running a Tempest Plus? I am already hitting my max revs when totally trimmed out.

Raising the motor should reduce the chine walk or raise it to a higher speed when it starts... you will also be able to use less positive trim for the same lift.
each inch of pitch increase drops rpm by @200 rpm..
the laserII is a fairly small prop, and a larger one like the tempest will hold the water better and carry the boat higher
