Looking for used outboard Convincor or Enforcer

Viper GTS

Member
Hi All, does anyone out there know of a Convincor or Enforcer outboard for sale? I would consider a boat with or without power. I have always loved the look of these boats, I know the production was low on these 2 boats. I have contacted Kingscrazyknights on his. There must be a few more out there..Thanks in advance...Viper GTS

Chris, even though you only have a Z06 I will fill you in anyway!! When the Convincor was inrtroduced in 1982 It was only available as a outboard only. The first few had 2 foot high bow rails. When full production began in 1983 It was available in I/O or O/B configuration. The outboard had a real outboard transom like the early Enforcer O/B hulls, but had the room for twins. I have Driven one, It is a very exciting ride due to its power to weight ratio. They will run into the mid 70 with ease. I have at least 4 Checkmate brochures with pics of them. Have You ever seen the 28 foot outboard called the 2800 O/B? Thats a rare bird. It looks like an overgrown Convincor. I believe the Convincor O/B hulls were produced between 1983 and 1987, the 1982 was more of a prototype...Hope this helps...Viper GTS

Viper,

There was a Cmate 25' O/B listed on Screamandfly.com. (Boats over 20') I forget if it was a true OB deck or an IO converted.
Good Luck,

SCT

I checked S&F.com.....there is actually 3 Cmate O/Bs listed. Two 25s and a 28.
Good Luck

Do you cruise the river? Ilaunch in Rocky Hill all the time. Viper GTS

Thanks guys, I saw those as well but keep looking. The ebay enforcer looks a bit rough. It looks like someone cut square windows into it on the sides, What do you think??? The outboard convincor looks nice, but pricey, resale on outboard boats of this size is not good...Viper GTS

Hey Viper,

Do you have a brochure on the '84 2800 SX O/B? Got one I'm working on. Love to see some pictures!

If some one could tell me how to do it, I could post the 1985 2800 O/B brochure for you..Has a Rude 300 on it, shows interior as well, also shows Convincor and Enforcer too...Viper GTS
