Maxxum Single I/O conversion?

Just my .2 cents..... I agree that a single set up 28' CM is probably the best. But if I were you, I would just keep your dual as a dual boat and enjoy it. To convert one over would be a lot of work, time and $$$. If you want a single IO 28, just buy PC's or another single.

Because I'm running 6cyl inline diesel, even staying with twins will require a lot of modification. The last boat it was in was a 251 and only the fuel tank had to be moved slightly forward. In the maxxum there's a large crossmember that will have to be cut/removed because my crank pulleys will be about 4" into it each side. I have a lot to consider and so little time.
 
Yes my bulkhead had to be routerted out to accomodate the blower pulley on the crank. Turned out nice and took out the foam behind it also. Looks like it came from the factory that way.the bulkhead is still connected to the stringers. :thumb:
