Merc 200 black max mid to late 80's

MercPower!!

New member
just wondering if anyone out there has been able to run one of these motors in the 90 mph mark. Thinking about power options and these motors are unreal. just wondering if the high 80's low 90's mph mark is possible and what size/type of hull and what kind of engine work would be necessary to acheive this. thanks

you can grind the old 2.4's to make power,,,,, the efi bridgeports were 240 hp.. on a light hull like a hydro stream vector .. speeds of 95-100 mph were very acheivable..... kurt

You can make that 200 Black Max go 400mph- You just have to find a hull that's light and stable enough.
Or find a MX-13 or MX-15 and lighten it- you'd be as fast or faster than a Vector!

You Got That Right

I agree with Matt, dig up some of his old pic's flying low in that Predictor. And I won't tell you how many times I chased the transom of a certain Blue & Silver Predictor from Riverview FL.
