Mike's240ZT

Mike it is hard to tell from the pic, but is than an alpha hanging off of the back of his 240? what does he have in it and what numbers is he getting?

For speed, I'd get the 300X. For all around cool, the 250 XS would be nice. Anything to get it over 80 and still be a wicked ski boat!

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

Mike, I was looking at your friends 240 again and I have a suggestion for him. He need to move the boat forward on the trailer a coule of inches or so. See how your bunks stick out past the transom and his doesn't, yours is the proper set-up.

I looked at the pic too and noticed that as well. I found something else cool. Your trailer set up is right, but you have a Dodge, his is not good and he drives a GM Silverado it looks like. Its a tie... LOL

The Chevy was SOLD gee and the Dodge is still as strong as ever. The drive is a bravo 1 on mine and his. Ya this hull is good in all kinds of water this boats been from the inland water way in Indian River, Mi to Lake Cumberland. My parents live on mullet lake the water way has a lot stronger water than cumberland, my dad always said read the water, you learn fast on these lakes. The boat handles 5 footers with no problem. This hull is no fun in flat water to stickey needs a chop. As for over night my family of 3 have no problem over nighting it on this boat I'am 6'4" tall and have no problem in the cabin, getting in can be hard.

The only General Motors product I own is the 454 in the back of my boat!

Mike, I have been fasinated by the pics of your boat. Did you say you have Gaffrigs? If so, did they mount the pick-up for the sppedo off the transom. Man I hope not. I ordered the Gaffrigs in my 240, and I hope the pick-up is not mounted there. If I would have known that, I would have got the GPS Gaffrig speedo. Here on the river, there is too much stuff in the water to have that stuff hanging there.

If you wanted the speed to be accurate, why don't you just buy a GPS? Its a one time investment that you can use anywhere anytime and it has accurate speeds? Thats what I do...

No, I think my gauges are just the Mercury Marine Standard ones that came with it (I think Thats Bad A I don't know for sure) and the pick up is in the out drive. MAN Where in the My Home Town is spring just got 3 more inches last night.

Yeah... Why would people spend the money of the GPS Graffrig gauges and all these other fancy things when all you really need is a GPS handheld. An investment once, and it can be used anywhere. I understand it makes your boat look better with this wicked speedos, but come on...

Z, it is called precision, when you spen that much money on something, why would you put guages in you can't trust. I did not say the Gaffrig speedo was not accurate, I said I did not want a pick-up screwed into the back of the boat. For someone who sais they are into hot boats, you don't have much of an understanding of what to put in them

BILL BILL BILL...YOU KNOW BY NOW THAT CORVETTE IS ALL ABOUT 'SAYS' AND NOT 'DO' OR 'DONE'. WANT-A-BE WANT-A-BE WANT-A-BE WANT-A-BE WANT-A-BE WANT-A-BE
