Thanks for pointing out the times on vid, wasn't sure that was your boat
and I have a stupid question about the bottom paint, wondering if it helps
or was it just on the boat when you got it. Some of the bottom paint Ive
seen the guys use around here seems kinda rough.
Good luck on Sunday and keep up the good work guys.

A quick update after this mornings race meeting.
Plenty of noise around yesterdays race, and just found out that the results may change after the gps numbers were released.

Here's a few details.

With average speeds like this, we're pretty happy. Just wonder how some others are not breaking out. I'll say no more.

Worlds next in 90mins.

Will share some video over coming days.

Maybe the forum membership should work together to put one fast Mate out there for the world to see. Maybe the factory would help the process if the team effort showed some success.

Im in! Find me an ole 251. We can gut cabin, bond deck and hull together. Floating gas tank and two bolster seats. Bam. Class 6 here we come! All we need after that is a 500/525 and a sportmaster bravo. Ill get the boat, if CM donates engine and drive! Haha

Guys n gals,

Got back late last night from Solomon's.

A 'king awesome weekend hanging out with Mr Determination (Kevin) and the Class 7 crew. I got loads of video and pictures.

This group are a family. They fall out every now and again at events (I did say 'family'), but when you need help, they're queuing up to help out.
The greatest single example of that was the story of the Maine-E-Axe boat (Don). I'd have to share a beer with you (on you) to tell the full story. Let's just say that his weekend ended with his boat flipping in the World's race (you'll get more details in the pics). Up to that he had already experienced enough drama for one individual.
For those of us there with him, he is forever family. A true legend.

Take a look at the best pictures below (not enough time now to split them and post here individually). A mixture of gopro stills, iphone pics and higher quality DSLR pics. Depended on when and where I was over the weekend.

On #708: We weren't the fastest, we didn't have the highest performing motor, we didn't have the best paint job. But we ran with the best of them, had a blast, and came out of each race with the same smiles on our faces as the others did.
A huge Thanks to Kevin for letting me onboard his Starflite. I thoroughly enjoyed it. :thumb:

Congrats guys. Glad you both made out in one piece. I lived there for 23 years and know how rough the water can get right there between the point and the open bay inlet. See you guys had some crabs and I'm sure the night life down their kept you entertained as well.

Keith,
It was an amazing weekend. As I was leaving yesterday evening, I bought a large bag of crabs to take home. Had half of them this evening with the family. Same again tomorrow night! mmmmMMMMMMmmmmm!!!

Hi John, good hearing from you, don't worry we bill show those Velocity's, Superboats, Challenger's etc. Who is Boss to bad they don't have a website like us. Look forward to seeing you on Greenwood Lake.

Kevin
