Muskoka Rally 2013

Great weather forecast for the Muskoka Rally this Saturday 10th

Looks like a great boating day for Saturday, with cooler temps than that 100 degrees last year. We have a great day planned. Anyone debating coming... better wax your boat, fill'er with premium and plan to attend. An open event, no registration fees or charity donation required.

Start at Gravenhurst Wharf, Gravenhurst, ON @9:30am August 10th. Great docking, free boat launching and great vehicle/trailer parking.
 
I've done this a couple of times with Bruce (another board member) and have always had a blast! My kids have always enjoyed it too! any excuse for a boat ride is good enough for them!
 
Have Fun, don't be waiting for me, Much like Cumberland the court ordered monthly fun governor keeps things to a crawl around here. But all is not lost, been invited tomorrow to a lake party 20 minutes away on Lake Belleville with an air show staring the blue angels going on overhead then after its on to a lakefront home for the after party. I'll be packing a blanket and pillow for this party. Time to head to the liquor store, its going to a Bloody Mary morning for everyone involved tomorrow!

Hi there, it was great seeing everyone again at Turtle Jacks. I had sold my Pulsare 21 earlier in the Spring as I was leaning towards a Donzi 22 but over the summer and more so today I have talked myself back into a Checkmate.
I'll be focusing my hunt for another Pulsare but I'll make sure it doesn't have a carbed engine this time.

Anyhow, I took about 75 pictures today so here is the link to the Photobucket Album and I have also included them all below. Had to include a few of a Donzi 22 which was sitting on the other side of the locks which sealed the deal for me.

You can't beat the styling of the Checkmates !!!

A big thank you to Muskoka for all the planning and a perfect execution of today's event, and a big thank you to Ianz and family for hosting the après boating party. We had a great time! Weather was perfect albeit a little choppy but that just added to the fun! If anybody wants to prop test Kushog Lake is one big long calm straightaway!

Man, that looks awesome. I so wanted to make it this year it just wasn't in the cards. Thanks for all the pics. I'm still drooling.

The Pulse 185 with the Promax really stood out for me :thumb: That's a real sleeper right there

This was the best turn out to date on this event with 20 boats we sure caught the eyes of many people. The conditions were a little cool but the sun was shinning and people smiling.

A special thanks to Muskoka for organizing such a great event.

Wow. Thanks for the great pics. You guy sure do have some sweet boats and some beautiful scenery there. Looks like a great time. :thumb::thumb:
 
Muskoka Rally Summary

What an awesome day we had...thanks to all 20 boats and crew that came out to make it such a success. It was the most fun I had all summer!

Thanks to Bruce and ianz for posting all those great pictures, and to ianz for hosting the apres Rally refreshments.

I only wish I had an event that that every month...til next year.
 
2014 Muskoka Checkmate Rally
