MX-13 Jetboat Project

Cool project!!! Lots of good information on there.:thumb: His contact information is out of date, looks like the email might work though.

I saw that before I started my MX-16. I sent out a contact and never heard back. I don't think any progress has been made in quite some time.

I've had that same idea in my head for years, only using a Predictor hull!!! I had thoughts of using a hot jet ski engine set-up, but if an SBC fits in a 13' MX, then it would surely fit a 16' Predictor!! I know i'll probably never actually follow thru with a project like that, but it's nice to know it's at least feasible!!

Just did a search for my boat and found this thread. That's my Checkmate. Its for sale. I lost interest in the project and ran out of money. I would be happy to answer any questions about it. Thanks for the compliments on it.

Hey misterpat,
I live just down the street from you. My friend just sold his Sutphen and is looking for another project. I was trying to talk him into yours but he says while it is really cool, he is looking for a larger jet boat. Good luck with the sale, you've done so much of the hard work already I hope it stays local so I will get to see your boat out on the lake.

Hey all just stumbled on this post.. I recently snagged this boat from mister Pat. A 1 dude and the work that he did to this boat was also a excellent job.. In the process now of getting the pump housing sealed up around the transom.. As of now I have a mild 400sbc that will hopefully find its way into this little rocket. Will keep the page updated if any one would like to see it when it gets done.. Might take a little bit but mister Pat did a great job and it is 95% done..

I am on the Chesapeake Bay (baltinore ) area. Prob won't be able to use this boat a ton during the boating season unless it is like glass out lol, but I'm sure the neighbors in the creek will love me on those nice evenings

Welcome pete,
Congrats on the new ride.
Our annual Checkmate on the cheasapeake weekend is the end of june on the magothy river if you would like to join us.

Hell the mag is just across the river from me. I am on North Point Creek. Ft Howard for a land mark.. If I don't have my lil check done you boys wouldn't mind if I slid on over in my other boat would ya ? { 32 fountain } thanks for the welcome.. I was out today and started to sand and buff the deck on the boat.. The more and more it's looking like I may possibly only be able to make his a single seater.. But still plenty of time to figure that out.. Hopefully can start this weekend on getting the pump housing in and the plates to seal the transom in place.. Then off to the powder coaters they will go..

Got most of the deck sanded/blocked out.. Then buffing it. Most def Gona be a single seater now. 400sbc with flat tops, good cam, ect for it. Should be plenty of engine for it. 5300 rpm tops is what the Impeller is good for. The pump housing is in, plates in place. Have to weld them in solid and square the plate off. Powder coat for them. Closer every day lol.. Not sure how this thing is gona work yet. Money permitted, gonna try to get it done sooner then later..
