Frist of all, great website!I didn't think I was the only one nuts about Checkmates.I recently came across a 1974 MX 13,I've been looking for one for my kids. All original, good hull, requires new carpet and upholstery.Without motor or trailer he'll take $900.00 can.Is this a fare price?

I sold mine for $600 Cad about a year ago. It needed a new transom and a few other details to be perfect, it also didn't have a trailer. Does that help?

Oh ya one more thing, where are you getting it from? Just wondering if it was my old one, with a new transom

A guy near Belleville has the boat. It's green and silver metalflake. He says the deck needs refinishing,I haven't seen it yet.It has a 70's 55 Johnson on it which is of no use to me. I'll need a 40 hp as my kids are under 16.

Cool, count on a couple hundred bucks for a clear coat if you can't buff the metal flake out, its worth it though! The interior isn't a big deal, I ended up taking back to back sleeper seats, splitting them in half, and using a bracket to hold them up. It worked pretty good and was dirt cheap. Your kids will have a blast! PS I was under 16 when I had mine, and had a 3 cylinder 65. I just removed all of the decals, and was never bothered

It should still go alright with the 40 though
