The 140 would be an easy fix since your boat is setup for OMC. My brother put a 140 on an MX 15 and it was squirrely, since there was no pad. Are you looking at a I6 150 or V6? I think the 140 and 150 I6 would be about the same speed, but the 150 I6 power trim sucks, and may not even fit your setback.

I just put a 78 evinrude 140 v4 on mine and it absolutely flies. I gotta change props now, ran a 19p and now she maxes out on RPM's in no time, throws you back in your seat on take-off man I love it. I really like this motor too, not bad on gas and light. You should use one of those boat speed calculators, I did and with my 140 i should be hitting about 62+ with the right prop/setup, I still have to GPS it to see but it feels like its hauling arse now. with the 150 you will only gain about 5mph or so and have more weight and probabaly more money since the v6's seem to cost more too. Nice work! I like to hang the decks and work from the inside, but the transom turned out great! People do some silly steel and wood screw jobs on the back. Also a good picture of a fag-magnet at the end.

thanks, the "gayliner" is my best friend bobs boat, when he saw that picture he thought i had actually peeled off his stickers and took the picture, he doesn't know about photshop. I worked really hard on this boat, fell in love with it the first day I saw it and here I am 2 years later and very proud of it. I have some new picture from this year that I will be posting soon.

it cost me a grand, I was going to just re-clear coat it but the old gel coat wasn't co-operating so I had a guy I know paint it for me. It Imron paint chrystler "plum crazy purple" and I love the way it looks, I get alot of compliments.

Sorry guys, it worked for the last couple weeks and then 3 days ago someone hacked it and crashed it again, It's hard to keep it running no matter what firewall i use, I will try to get it back up again, keep checking, shane.
