My 82 Predictor

Figured its time I posted some pics of my Predictor I bought on ebay. Keep in mind I haven't touched anything on it yet. Its in need of some cleaning, a steering wheel(anybody got an 80's Checkmate wheel), a good buff and some minor upholstery repair(side cushions). I'm really happy with it and can't wait to get it all rigged up and on the water. A major thanks to those of you giving me such good feedback on whether or not to buy this boat.

Looking to power with a midsize Merc v6 (150-200) however wouldn't turn down a good 135. Kary has a 150 from his Tunnelflite that I'm interested in but have to see what happens. Found another 150 in Wisconsin at the place called Iron River Sports for 1700. Looking to buy something within the next couple of months so that I can start looking for props and a jack plate and dual cable steering.

Thanks Boston, I like it too. Should really look good with some buff magic and several coats of wax.

Great color combo , wow what a steering wheel. I have a 87 wheel from a starflite minus the center piece. I bought new dual cable steering this summer and once again I should of not tried to cut corners now i may be going to hydraulic, my boat is very tuff to steer from 65 to 74.3. Aaron

Hey MateFever, I remember seeing this boat for sale. What was the final price that you paid? Not sure if you done anything with that steering wheel, but my Exciter has a Teleflex Viper Steering wheel. I really like the looks of this steering wheel, so if you interested in replacing that old wheel, here are some links:

The Teleflex Viper retails for about $115:

The Teleflex Stealth retails for about $50:

The Teleflex Sportsman I saw on Ebay right now going for $17:

I ended up paying the Buy it NOw price of 650.00 which I thought was a really good deal (actually Cooperider was gonna jump on it if I didn't). Haven't done anything with the steering yet, I was planning on eventually installing a Teleflex dual cable system anyhow so that steering wheel would work great. I like the looks of it. Why don't you hold on to it for me and we can work something out for that and maybe a motor ifn you're still interested.

Why thank you sir! I can't wait to get this machine on the water.
:surf: I will be picking it up in a couple weeks. I also can't wait to mount that Merc 200!:bounce:

I had the same boat with a 200 merc

200 merc with a 24p chopper 70mph with 4 guys in it. asshauler was what we named it.
I had hynautic steering on mine that worked fine, I'd stay away from dual cable as much as possible, pain to maintain, takes up dash and motorwell space I think it's outdated personally.
just my 2cents
pete
