My 85 Predictor

Very slick lookin machine, im sure that turns many a head as you wiz by.

The color schema is really sharp!

Man I have th itch so bad, weather has been so bad I havent had mine out but twice, and it was so cold it was hard to enjoy the ride. BUT releif is here, i have 18days straight off and on Golden Lake i will be.

Keep up the great work on that shine, your work is payen off in spades.

Somewhere long ago I saw a Checkmate. The name and looks have stayed in the back of my mind all these years. When the time came to look for a boat, Checkmate was at the top of my list!!

Got transom done the 235 is on and running time to fix small wiring and work on set up got to get jack plate working and low water pick up on, I'm hoping a 28 chopper will work, I'll send pic when in water.

Hey man thats a sweet looking boat, the red and silver looks awsome. Nothing like the 85 predictors huh? I got the same thing but its black with the silver and i got a johnson 120 vro on the back. Whats the top speed you have got outta yours?
 
Speed:
I was able to get 51.5 mph(GPS) at 5200-5300 rpm WOT. I do not have a jackplate. I'm running a
13 1/4 X 22 stainless. Lacks pulling power but sure is fun!! It is rated for 125hp!! That should put it over 60!! Too fast for me! The boat is quite lite. I am happy breaking the 50 mph barrier after growing up with a boat that would max out at 27 mph. Hope that helps.
