My New '89 Predictor

I did it! I bought my first Checkmate (and my first boat). Its a
1989 16' Checkmate Predictor with a 120 Johnson. It's in excellent condition -- just needs a good polish.

Congrats on the new rig. I bought an 87 Predictor w/ a 120 this spring. Gets some pics up.
How does it run?

Runs well for my first day out. It had a tendency to stay bow high before I gunned it to keep it on plane, but with some practice I should be fine. I might try putting on a whaletail to allow me to stay on plane at lower speed. I'll be riding a river frequently and probably can't keep it at over 50 mph!

I'll upload pics when I figure out how.

Joe
