Mystery Boat ID

So while I am recovering, I am spending some of my time searching around the net for a boat, as it looks like I will be doing nothing for the next 3 months I figure that maybe a fixer upper might be the right way to go.

Anyways, I came across this boat, the price is right, the guy will drop it off at my house if I decide to buy it (I can't drive for another month or so) but I have no idea what it is, so no idea of any issues the model may have.

If someone can ID it for me (it looks familiar, but that's not helping much) that would be great.

I was thinking the same thing Keith. Ask the owner if he can get you a pic of the HIN. It should be on the transom.

Dumb question maybe, but the seller doesn't know what it is? Its cool whatever it is.

No he doesn't, according to the title it's a 1970, so no HIN on the transom.

I'm thinking i'm going to grab it anyways, for what he wants for it it can serve as a good practice boat for a Checkmate.

Looks like a Sidewinder hull, with a different deck. One of many Sidewinder style hulls from back then.

Thanks for the reply, I think you are correct, after doing some research now that I had a hint, the whole Sidewinder sage is interesting, certainly a different time in the boating world.
