Need help wiring tach

As some of you may know I just mounted a Merc V6 on my Predictor. My old engine is a OMC. I have never owned a Merc before (other then my 9.8) and I need help wiring the tach. All I have coming off the harness for the tach is a grey/maybe white wire I pulled off the sig. post of the donor boat.

The tach of my Mate has three post: Send, Ground, ingition.

If anyone can tell me which wires I need please help.

I want to get this ready for the weekend.

the wires for the tach come out of the control box

grey should be signal
you can use a test light to fing hot with the key on

hot with the key in run = ign

you should have a gound bar behind the dash
