need some awnsers on 300x

I have a 300x with a sport master under it and after a day on the water there will be a little lube coming out of the little hole in the front of the gearcase were it bolts to the down tube any ideas why and how to fix thanks in advance

It sounds like it might be the speedo pickup hose.

Leaky Sportmasters

Yes, unfortunately, it appears the Sportmasters had a design flaw on the 300X motors. You have at least one bad seal.

This is common with spormaster cases whether 2.5l or 300X. It is caused by fluid leaking by the shiftshaft seal for one reason or another. Several expanations, I would call a good Hi Pefromance dealer like Glenn Reynolds at Reynolds racing and Marine 1-865-882-9623 for addvice.

He has seen alot of this I'm sure and will give you some good factual advise based on real experience.

I have heard things from bad seals, to foaming gearlube.
