New 21 Pulsare setup! 93-94 mph!

WILDMAN

Well-known member
I just tried some new things on the setup on a new 21 Pulsare with a 300XS. Motor has 2 hours on it and is hitting the limiter at 93-94 mph. I'm gonna try a bigger prop. Prop is a 28". I may not divulge the setup right now. People need to buy some boats to get the secrets. I'm tired of giving them away to other dealers. I think 95 is in the cards. The motor may go higher. I have 20 lbs at WOT. Here's some pics.

Wman, you might be running 96+ if the boat had a 300X behind it!

Great speed.....keep it up...

Is 94 the fastest confirmed speed for anyone in a 21 Pulsare? If not, 95 would have to be wouldn't it?

Nice work as always, Wildman. Do think the same tweaks will work for the 2400 and get that hull in the upper 70's?

The 2400 is already in the upper 70's. Randy has had all of his 2400LD's w/300 running 76-77. I want to see some one hit 80 in a 2400. Would really like for it to be me! If I could just afford one.

The boat ran over 92 on 10-15 passes in a row. Not ideal conditions. It was choppy and pretty windy. Temp was 80 degrees. The boat was actually pretty easy to drive too. Here's a pic of the boat GPS. I compared it to two digital GPS's and it seems to be 1 mph low.

My bad. I thought mid 70's was the best he pulled. I might be thinking of the BRX though. Would love to see a 2400 get to 80.

It's a freshwater inland lake. You can see the lily pads in the first two pics.. It's only 1.5 miles long. I don't ever run any new boats in salty water!

Wildman, thats awsome !! congrads !!! and I do not blame you for not giving up your setup...I've been there..takes time and $$$$ let them figure it out !!! Rob

Wow great speed for sure. Any chance you can get a vid up of a pass? Sure wish I could afford to repower my boot with a 300.

With nothing but time and money you'd think you would strap on a simonized X and put one in triple digits... :poke:

I'd bet it would sell fairly quickly too!

I know several people with those modified motors, and not one has had an increase in speed over a stock motor.
