New 260

Just got to see a new 260 in person at local boat show. I wasn't a fan of the pictures but it was a very nice boat in person and the lines are all checkmate. Also the fit and finish was much nicer than my 242. I like the stepped cabin door and the fact that the rear bench was attached to the hatch(makes maitenance much easier). Even the windshield looks nicer in person, and very solidly built. The only drawback I saw was no grab handle on the passenger side.
So for the doubters, if cm keeps building new boats like this, I think they're definetly headed in the right direction!

Yup, the new 260 Convincor is so much better of a boat than what the "nay sayers" have been sayin recently.
This is a dam nice boat.
And for considerably less than 100K you'd be hard pressed to find a new high performance boat of equal quality for that price.

i dont know about considerably less the one i looked at had a 502 mag and stickered for around 87g. drop in a 525 or a 565 which is about the right power for that boat and your over 100.

What show was it? Was there any more performance boats there? Didn't even know we had a checkmate dealer near us!

Buffalo bills boat show at the field house next to the stadium. Looks like anchor marine picked up checkmate. But that was the only performance boat there.

Sorry Keith no pictures, all I can say is that boat is a lot longer and lower in person, cm needs to get some shots that do it justice.

I thought about running up to Buffalo for the show knowing the 260 was gonna be there but was afraid it would be the one and only high performance boat among a sea of toons and wakeboard boats. Woulda been cool to see the 260 up close but now i know the trip would not have been worth it. Man i wish these shows (besides Miami) would feature more performance boats! :brickwall: I get why they don't, tire kickers like me, but i have absolutly no intrest in any other type of boat on the water, just wanna see the go-fasts!

As I have never seen one in person, I'll take your guys word on it for the new 260. I do really like the one with the old school red Cig. graphics. It actually looks great in the pictures, from any angle.
However, If you try to tell me the 275 is a great looking boat, you lose all credibility

I didn't like the 275 when it was a baja, nor do I now

New Checkmate dealer had 26 Convincer at the show Collins Marine

The all new Checkmate 26 Convincer was introduced at the Buffalo Boat show by Collins Marine. Checkmate's newest dealer.

You are welcome to board the all new Checkmate 26 Convincer in the showroom of Collins Marine located at 4444 River Road in Tonawanda New York.

The 26 Convicer design is all new by Checkmate from a clean sheet.

Thanks denny I always get anchor confused with Collins. I think you guys hit a homerun with that boat, if i ever decide to downsize that would definetly be on my short list
