New Checkie- 150 black max hesitation, carb issue??

Thanks for the info matt, It doesn't feel like the secondaries opening up - it's more of a minor bog, like a little too rich maybe. Actually when the secondaries open it, it may be what clears the bog. Before I fogged it for the winter, the plugs were pretty black. My 2 stroke bike does some weird stuff when the plug is gummed up and this is similar.

If you're not pulling skiers, you probably would never notice it. I'm probably being a bit picky for a 20 yr. old motor! The motor runs strong - I can still see my wife holding my little guy (6months) as the boat clears 45 on my GPS (pulling very hard). He looked like he was getting blown away. I pulled back pretty fasta and the GPS said I had hit about 53. I think that boat will GPS at every bit of the 63 the spedo indicates.

We've had some friends move into the area so I'd really like to be able to take 2 families out. I'm looking for a starliner now. I feel bad, 'cause the sporty is such a nice boat (and in really good shape). But I know a bigger BR would work better for the family. Heck, I've never had it out without the kids to top it out. Fastest I've gone in that boat is is my test ride with Kurt on the Saginaw!

Yeah, I'm figuring out how to keep that wave from swamping the back seat. With a working bilge now, it's less of an issue. Just a characteristic of a fast boat!

Spring will come in MI someday.
