New Checkmate owner - Persuader - Hello!

Hueby

New member
Hey all, just wanted to say HELLO and include a few pics of the boat I just picked up. It's a 1996 Persuader 234 BR. Great condition, 300 hours on it, 454 ... just ran it out on the Mississippi river today and loved every second of it. Hope to learn a lot on the forums!

Well Hell's Bell's!!! Wish I would have thought about askin if you were on the forum. I am going to try to get back out next saturday but will probably use the ramp at our marina. Get ahold of me, send me a PM or something. Saturday is the Blessing of the Fleet and I can use all the blessing I can get, I already get plenty of cussin from the wife.

Very nice boat BTW, I really liked the looks of it.

Funny and very cool we meet on the forums the next day! This Saturday is our annual float trip, but I'll be out a lot more this year. I'll get a hold of you to meet up sometime. I just started cruising the river, so lots to learn.

Lots to learn when boating pool 26 I am really not that good and usually do not like to go out without some of my much more experienced river buddies. I have been boating on the river for years with friends, but ther e is a huge difference between ridn and drivin. Plus it changes from year to year anyway. We have a few pretty safe places we like to go and try to stay in the channel gettin there. I like boating on the Illinois river cuz it is deeper and seems like there are a lot fewer sand bars and crap to hit. Heck the Illinois is mostly channel so you are pretty safe.

I'm finding that out pretty quick! We'll have to hook up some time on the river or nearby lakes... I'll make you look like a boating pro. :p
