New guy from Ohio here!

New guy here from the Buckeye state!! Although 99.9% of all my boating is done on Lake Cumberland in KY. Thus far its all been either on my RXP Sea Doo or in the old man's Baja. But I have decided its time for me to get something of my own. And as long as I can remember there hasn't been a whole lot on the water that excites me more than a screaming outboard!! Growing up on the Ohio River all my dad's friends had Checkmates and I have always wanted one. So I came here to look for one or at least try to learn more about them so I know what I need to look for. Well, I'm off to lurk around and try to learn myself!! Have fun out there, be safe on the water, and hopefully before too long there will be a checkmate tearing up and down the Big South Fork River on Cumberland!!!

Glad to see you on the board Corey!

I've known Corey for a while- we just haven't seen each other since a few years after high school... he is a good dude.

Whats up with the outboard talk??? You need a BBC:poke:

J/K.. outboards are cool.:D I just sold a my old outboard powered Exciter this spring to a member down in KY.. Bscott0008. It ran pretty good.

well first off:welcome: and my previous boat was a 87 flite with a 2.4 200 on it so if you have any questions or need some advice i may be of some help:cheers: but maybe not too:sssh::p -Ross-

Was cool meeting you and your dad this weekend Corey! I promise I won't judge you on the fact you are friends with Sally either :D! I will keep you updated on our winter activities as we are planning on having a couple get togethers to help ease the winter pain:thumb:. The mate is in great shape, you got a steal on it, IMO!

Sounds good man!!! I'm always looking for an excuse to get out of the house, especially over the winter!! And I know I will have some pain to get rid of from all the sanding I have ahead of me.

It was great meeting you and everyone else yesterday. And as far as Sally goes, well, everyone has a few skeletons in their closet...
