New guy from tn, new checkmate

Hello, New to the site, and Just bought a 79 eluder open bow. Its kinda funny, i was trying to sell my over-powered glastron when one of my friends told me about the checkmate. He said he saw a boat on craigslist with no motor, or trailer, but it would probly handle all my engine. When I get home, I checked the listing and the rest is history. picked it up for $150, bought a trailer for $120, and rigged my 235 johny-rude. I took it out for the first time today for a test run, and with a beat-up prop, choppy water, and no power trim i was able to get 65ish. I'm in love! My glastron would start to chine walk real bad in the mid 50's. Just outa curiosity. Does anyone know what to expect with trim, jackplate, and a good chopper prop?

I'm assuming since you're from hendersonville; the pics were taken on old hickory. Where on the lake was it? I was up on OH just south of Boxwell a couple of weeks ago and the water was very rough.
