hello from upstate ny...I boat on the lakes here with my 2000, 220 convincor...I have a few soft spots in my floor that will need to be taken care of....any ideas?....thx

:welcome:... Where do you boat?? There guys here that will help you out.. I myself think that the new plastic stuff might be the way to go.. But others might not.. I can't believe a 2000 has soft spots already.. What's up with that??

Welcome aboard man!! I'm a fellow upstate NY'er too (tho with the way the weather has been lately i have to wonder why i stay here lol). I do all my boating on Keuka Lake, parents have a cottage and i keep my boat right there all summer. Where do you do your boating? Those 220 Convincors are cool boats, plenty of knowledge around here to help you out!

hello and thx for the welcomes...I do most of my boating at Sacandaga with the occasional trips up to lk George ...and yeah...whats up with a 2000 having soft spots?.....thats what I wanted to know....lol..I bought this boat new as a leftover in the beginning of 2003 and I noticed right away that the cover was weather worn and soaked up the water, especially right in front of the back seat and thats where the floor got wet...so after that first summer, I bought a new cover . I never gave a thought to the floor getting soft after that till about a year ago I noticed that I had 2 soft spots right in front of the back seat and near the edges..not in the center...right where the water layed and soaked thru the cover. I'm sure when it sat at the dealer for over 2 yrs it must have just got wet all the time. I noticed last year that they got a little bigger (about 1' in diameter) and figured since I was working out of town that I would wait till this spring to fix it. I'm sure it will be more of a pain in the ass than I would like to fix it...but what can you do.."u wanna play u gotta pay"...lol...any help from someone with knowledge and experience would be greatly appreciated..

welcome, I would get after fixing those spots quick, if its just some small floor sections, not a bad fix, just cut out the bad spots, fill in with new wood or whatever and glass over the top. Cool youre in toga, buddy of mine just moved there so I might be taking the mate over there a few times this summer.

Good luck on your floors.. Hope it turns out ok.. I boat at Toga and Mohawk river.. Will be trying other lakes this year like Scroon lake

My boat was from lake Sacandaga (spelling??), and my Dad was from Albany/Lake George/Schenectady (I'm sure I spelled that wrong.) Beautiful area, but you guys have snow now, right?

I was in St. Martin/St Maarten 2 weeks ago, met 3 couples from Uptate NY. They were all so sick of the winter and dreading going back to reality. think they said you just got a foot of snow.

Hope you guys thaw out soon.

Oh, Welcome! I'm 'mateless now, but looking.
