Hello, and thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm located in central ky. Amongst the many completely dismantled projects i inherited from my pops, is what i believe to be a checkmate, and I'm just trying to do a little research to figure out what i have. The numbers on the last registration for the boat are CHK11035M84A there is also a "model" c22. I'm guessing this to be a convincor or enforcer from hull shape. What is throwing me is the boat was powered by twin straight merc 6cyls, and i haven't found any other examples of that. It is possible i have the wrong registration with the wrong hull. The hull is completely gutted and disassembled, and had transom replaced in preparation for a single setup. Is there another location for hin numbers possibly? Thanks again.

Might help to post some pics of what you have if you can. A lot of people with a lot of knowledge on here that can point you in the right direction!!

I will try to get some pics, but the boat isn't where i live. My main area of curiosity is about the twin engine setup, the boat wouldn't have been that old when we got it to have been reconfigured, but i also know how it is in the go faster world, but I've never heard anyone lust after twin straight 6s.

A restored twin straight six Checkmate would be ultra cool. There may be another member here that's trying to get his going this summer
