New member with new used 94 Predictor

I have been reading on here for awhile and it time to post some Pics and ask a few Questions to start off.
I bought the boat in April 2014 from the people who had it listed on ebay for $ 4500.00 It is original Condition with trailer. They put me in touch with the owner who kept up with it very well. He had the trailer blasted and painted and put new led lights on it also new tires and spare.
I ran it a few tines at Raystown Lake In central Pa. Then ended up in hospital for the summer and got out in September. I have traded in the 94 yamaha 115hp for a 99 yamaha 115hp C115 premix and changed over the prop 13.5 x 22 SS. Which brings me to some questions?

The prop is about as old as the boat. The max rpm of engine is 5500 with new engine and the tacked checked out I hit 57mph at 5800 before I throttled back (some chine walk)
What would be a better prop size and brand? I will keep the old for towing toys.

I am also thinking of changed the hot pink and having it vinyl striped to blue what do you think?

I also pulled all the seats, tank, and battery and cleaned every thing up to look really good. Checked bilge and transom for cracks or damage and found none. And buffed the gel-coat with 3M.

My screen name came from the adds that were on the net for boat
(27 photos go fast get wet)

I got a little long winded now for a few pics.

:welcome: Welcome to the Forum. She's a nice looking boat. I'm sure some of the O/B guys will chime in with some prop recommendations. As far as the hot pink stripe, I like it. It wouldn't bother me a bit. I think the color combo looks great.:thumb: Jim

Good looking boat, did it come from Virginia? I had a boat similar to yours and I think your doing pretty well. I don't know my Yamaha props buy I may say go up 2* of pitch and make sure your steering doesn't have any slack in it. Are you running a dual cable setup?

I ran a 22P Laser II with good success and always wanted to try a 24P.

Thanks everyone.
Drop top boat came out of pa but bought in Maryland. Dual cable steering no slop. Was told by blue water yacht to go with ballistic 13.5 x 24 but looking for other options.
Thanks

Nice Boat! Use it in good health.
As for the pink; around here we consider pink to be about as masculine a color as there is because you gotta be a real man to rock the pink with confidence. Only we call it "Raspberry".
57 isn't too shabby for a 115. I had a Predictor with a 115 that did less than
that but I think Yamaha understates it's horsepower a little. Were you on speedo or GPS?
Welcome!

Thanks to all .
The raspberry & flamingo comment made me chuckle will definitely rock it.
Yes the 115 does seem to run strong & is in great shape cylinder 128 psi per.
Went to lake today 69 degrees surface like glass 35 or so miles of pure fun. Still hit same speed and rpm then backed off when started the chine walk (it wasn't to bad but wife made me bailout of throttle)
Speaking of raising engine I was just reading about that & setback and how it helps also noticed is effects prop type more than pitch. My anticav plate is level with bottom of pad now & I can raise it by 1 hole. And get a modern prop in the right type and pitch.

Gives me lots to think about.
My best guess on avg. total weight is around 1,550 lbs with full tank includes 2 people.
I would like to get in the low to mid 60mph range.
But as my dad always told me you have to be smarter than the equipment you operate.

Any help or comments are gratefully encouraged.
Checkmates on the Chesapeake sounds like a good time.

Again Thanks To All
