NEW POWER FOR THE PREDICTOR!!!

Adam, looks good so far. As far as the controll cables go I just ran them through the port rigging hose into the cowl. Never gave me any problems like that, the cables should be plenty long enough for you to do it.

I've had the same issue with the hoses and trimming upm on a couple of boats I've rigged and now got a little smarter. Rather than using the bezels like you guys have shown, I use the 3" Eddie marine bzels so the hose can slide in and out and not "Kink" like it would with the fixed bezels. Here is a photo. I've use these bezels in a horizontal position as well, the only downfall is they are not water proof. Water can get by the hose.

oooow that looks nice. my hose wants to come off the bezel all the time. the eddie marine would look good and allow some play when needed.

xvise-I really like that idea. I might have to try that out.

I will be rigging this with new dual cable stearing for sure.

TTown, I had a couple questions for you regarding the wiring. There are a couple of wires on the ignition key that I was wondering about. I am guessing they go to the tach, but im not positive. I took a picture of the wires in question, hopefully you may be able to shed a little light.

Here are the wires in question. Hope you like the amazing use of "microsoft paint".

We hooked everything up and the motor cranked over, trim worked great, so i am assuming that these must go to the tach?

The gray is for the tach, the black is a ground output for your tach and other things. The brown was used to connect to a hi temp alarm which is not used with that set up. However you could pick up the brown wire back at the motor and hook it up to a temp sending unit in the head, then use the brown at the ignition end for a temp gauge. The purple wire should be a hot wire when the ignition is on. You could use that for a number of items ..tach, fuel gauge and volt meter. Your service manual should cover that if you have any further problems or you can call me anytime. Oh by the way how is your interview process going? Good luck

Hey guys,
I have been extremely busy with the new police career. As long as the weather holds out I will be out on Memorial day weekend. I will let you know how she runs.

Hey Adam, Are you enjoying the new job? I bet you are. Remember be nice and treat people as you would like to be treated....until they piss you off then show them how NOT to be nice. They will wish you were nice again. Oh and never forget when they choose to fight w/you it is a fight....until the cuffs are on. To quote fromer LA chief of police Darrell Gates just after the King incident..."we don't pay our guys to lose street fights" nuff said.
