NEW RIDE

She wasn't hanging on then but there were a few times she held on tight. On our run back I played with trim and found a " sweet spot that added 5 mph with no throttle change. I looked over said hang on and hammered down, that boat loves to run hard. Karen seemed to enjoy that last run. I can't wait to at a little more and see where it goes.

We will be down Saturday and check it out. That is my favorite part of driving a boat when it starts to air out and pullin hard. Is there a highly recommended place in the area to launch. Westside. Eastside

Hey no red in that boat. Guess you cant be a member of the LC swingers club. :(
I know I'm sad too. I thought about adding a red stripe, but it didn't go any further than that.

Tanners Creek boat ramp in Lawrenceburg IN is one of the nicest ramps around. Lots of room to launch and large parking lot. We've always left out of Tanners but decided to try a new place closer to home last weekend and hated it. we will be going to Tanners next weekend.

Trim on the steering sucks IMO so I ordered a new switch from great Lakes Skipper.

removed the medallion from the throttle.

All done. Haven't been on the water but it works great in the driveway.

For anyone going to do this you will need to get longer screws. I used #4-40 1" screws.

Also did a small stereo upgrade last Sunday.
The amp rack needs to be reupholstered, the vinyl was old and tore easily. I also want to see if engine heat effects the amps, I may need to relocate.

Once I know it's ok I'll button up the wiring
The sub enclosure is a cheap one from Crutchfield. It's a lot louder than I thought it would be.

That was aggravating not being able to properly trim it. I should have bought this switch months ago.
