New stuff for your boat this season 3

Well keeping on the same track TheNerd started at the end of last season lets see what you guys purchased for the boat. I know many of you had plans for some upgrades.

I have most of what I plan on adding.

I picked up a cherry CMC hydro jack plate and a set of bobs brackets. I'll be running it at 10" back. I have a set of scoops on the way.

I also picked up a TH marine rigging hose kit and bulk head fitting kit. The bulk head kit will be used to re-route my steering cables for the added setback. I love the look of clean rigging.

I have a couple new battery tie-downs from Sea Choice. The are pretty nice items for only 8 bucks each.

NEW INTERIOR !!! Bought cover from Checkmate ( nice stuff ).. Got the buckets done by a pro ( thanks John on tibits ).. I can't figure out how to post pics.. Pics are on my puter.. But, anyway I'm going to try wet sanding and buffing... New Tunes ( thanks son ), Prop, and shift cables.... You people know ,,, It's nevers stops... I done care.. Love My Check :bounce:

I have some small rigging changes to make, thats about all thats new. I did pick up a new buffer, so I hope to make it shine.

I am still looking for something about 5'7" 120lbs with a nice set of cans, nice C or better, to ride in the passanger seat, will provide unlimited bikini budget.

I plan on making a ski pylon and also some more good polishing. Hopefully I can learn to drive the thing and do some prop testing (that hi 5 is great for planing but that's it).

Nice heavy C atleast, must look good in a thong, prefer a blonde that does not know what NO means. Lack of gag reflex a plus.

I don't know NERD, She might be a little small in cup size. But that never stopped you before!

back on track here, so far i have gotten a dual battery tender that needs to be hooked up, and the coastal waterway download for my gps(already has the inland lake download on it) i need to have brian send me that 26p bravo and still need to grab a few other misc items before the summer fun begins:surf: not to much longer:drool:

New fuel system, new oil system, a few other secret tweaks..........replace bearings.......fix the rest with JB Weld, WD-40, a little bailing wire. Gonna make this thing last a whole season.

pretty much blew the boat budget last fall with the new motor, just some small stuff like new water pump, battery, etc. going to buff her out so she looks good and i picked up a 28 trophy i want to try...if i can keep it off the rev limiter should hopefully put me in the mid 90's. the 27 vs 28 sitting side by side look like completely different props.

I have to agree! I ran a 27p last summer on mine with the stock 2.4 200 i was running 82mph at 6100rpm

My dad just picked up a new toy for this summer, and it came with a 28p and I was amazed at how different they are. So we'll see how different they react once we can get back in the water.

I would probably try a 24 or 25p Trophy if you can get your hands on one. The trophy's are a great all around prop, and you get minimal chine walk since it's a 4 blade and it balanced better than a 3 blade. I actually have run my best speeds with one.

Got my new motor (merc 135) 6 inch jackplate, and a 24p trophy plus, need to get all the stuff for rigging, and figure out what to do about steering. Also gonna do some polishing and buffing, and might add a sub to the sound system

Sounds like a nice setup.

Are you trying to figure out what setup to do or how you're going to route the cables out with the addition of the jackplate?

Sorta both, deciding if i keep my current single cable, if it will work or how to make it work as is, but also knowing i should upgrade to a new cable at the least and more likely a dual cable or hydraulic, both of which would be stretching me thin at the moment :brickwall: but would be real nice

matefever, if the 135 cant spin the 24 trophy I picked up how i want, Ill send it your way.

Probably not what your after but since I am done with my pulsare here is what I bought and am working on for my Checkmate. He does the prescouting river run for sandbars and logs on the mighty Missouri. And maybe a litte fishing.
Bought just a bare 18' / G3 shell, found a used motor, used troller, got floor in and vinyl installed and waiting on seats, steering council, controlls & livewell.
It is packing my old 5.5'' CMC manual jack off my new pulsare though .
