New to Checkmate from Miami

Thanks wrenchmate. Used the 454 block and built it up from there. Mild performance upgrades. Engine is balanced and professionally assembled. I'm hoping for around 400ish hp to the prop. What speeds should I be looking at and around what size prop would be suffice? Engine is in boat but I'm modifying the wiring harness for a cleaner look. Still have not started her up. I've read that there are porpoising issues with this hull. Any solutions? Ill try to get some more pics up this weekend.

Really nice looking Convincor......
Would love to see pics of your engine and engine compartment when you get the wiring neatend up.

Ezstriper what does a galley boat mean? Is it some thing with the cabin? I have a wrap around bench seat and a small sleeping quarters in the bow area.

How much was the platform? Considered doing the same.

Thanks for the invite Sea Y Ohh. Still working on the boat every little chance I have. My house is under construction and wish I had more time to work on the boat. I'm aiming for Memorial Day weekend, but we will see how that goes. I purchased my check with an aluminum platform already installed, it's powdercoated red. I'm sure it will come in handy at the sandbars. We will def meet up once she's done and ready.

Very nice 2k. I like that checkmate was building Convisors with the old school lines. I love the the old Convinsors, they don't have that cookie cutter look like a lot of other boats. Good luck with it. :surf:

all aluminum platform cost me about $1200 installed which included the ladder. very good job i can pass on the builder/installer info if you wish, just let me know...
