New to the family!

He needs to come to wyandotte at the end of may for the poker run sponsered by powerboatparty and run that beast up and the river:banana:

Congrats and welcome, looks very nice.

Here in NE Indiana we are also waiting for some warmth!!!

You need to bring that down to Lake James this summer and meet up on the sand bar. Very nice boat.

Been to Lake James once or twice before. Nice lake but seemed kinda smaller.(maybe I don't know the lake well enough?) Although the sand bar is a great time! Might make it there and bring a couple friends! :bigthumb:

Welcome to the family RC!! Don't sweat the tripple axle trailer, they tow fine. The biggest problem with a boat like yours is that it's light for it's size, and many trailer manufacturers don't carry the right weight axle to build a tripple properly for a boat of that weight. Case in point.....we had a tandem built for our 2000 Pulsare, and most are riding on singles. I wanted the tandem look like many others, but the problem was that the trailer was sprung too heavy and would have beat the $hi+ out of the boat bouncing down the road. Sooooooo, Prestige special ordered lighter axles which they don't normally use, so the suspension would "flex" properly. Problem solved. A tripple does look cool, but is way overkill for your boat. Don't worry about it.

Thanks! The trailer is a C-Hawk. Would they have put the light axles under it? The boat came from checkmate with this trailer I believe.

Lake James is a bit on the small side (about 1000 acres) but it hooks up via channels to 3 other lakes giving plenty of places to cruise.

The sand bar is a good time, there's another Checkie here on the board that is there some. Give me a PM if you're ever down and we'll do a cool one :cheers

RC, the only real way to tell is to check the GVWR tag on the trailer. That's the "Gross Vehicle Weight Rating". It's all marked right there in the same area as the VIN number. That number will tell you the total weight the trailer is rated to carry including the weight of the trailer. Let's say you've got a trailer that you know weighs 1000 pounds. If you've got a 3000 pound boat on it, the trailer GVWR should be a little over 4000 pounds. However, if the GVWR is more like 6000 pounds, you've got heavier axles. What load range tires are on your trailer? C range (50psi max air pressure), or D range (65psi max air pressure)? Hope the info above helps!

Good luck on the big "thaw". No ice here, but man we've got a $hi+load of water. Over 10" of rain last week in less than 48 hours. Our rivers and lakes are WAY high!
