New Unique Project

Coming along nicely.

Couple of comments.

I doubt the Checkmate involvement and maybe Pacemakers even more so.
Before you even said it came from Hollywood, that would have been my guess.
I lived in Fla for 9 yrs and have had friends down there forever.

On their splashing of hulls.........., if you leave your boat parked at Walmart long enough to buy 2 stroke oil, they will have a mold of your hull completed by the time you come out.
I've seen splashes of splashes of splashes.
And they make no apologies.
I almost bought a splash of a 25' Convincor that a friend built.
Anyone ever seen one of those ;)

I am friends w/some of the previous owners of the Action boats and was told by them that some of the early, smaller boats (13') started as Checkmates.
Saw one in their storage shed.

Another thing that is common down there is that on an older hull that's changed hands a bazillion times, and had a title come up missing for what ever reason (usually due to a previous owner not transferring it before selling it on and the next owner losing track of him), they buy a junker of similar size and style that has a title and..........., drive the old boa under the new vin plate.

Lastly, your shop is waaayyyyy too clean and organized.
Unacceptable.

it certainly is an interesting rig.

here is a shot of that plate on the back

The serial number is CHK5746623 if anyone can backtrack on it.

we just have the 2.4 Liter and MOD VP stickers to put on tomorrow.

It looks like the new boat will splash tomorrow afternoon.... Can't wait.

Love that era cowling.

We are also very lucky to have our spouses involved in our hobbies.
I feel bad for those w/o.

Course my 94 yr old dad just told my wife how lucky I was that she enjoyed boating.
I asked my dad if he thought there would have been a 2nd date if she didn't 😎
