New (used) checkmate

I just bought a 84 19ft checkmate exciter with I/O. It needed a little cleaning up and work but I'm almost done with it. I took it it out for a few hrs yesterday and everything was working and did great except the water temp gauge. Im just getting backing into boats and am pretty excited about the boat because I got a good deal on it.

:welcome:
I'd like to see some pictures as well... I didn't know there was an I/O Exciter!

(I've seen nastier things... like an open bow Exciter... yes Exciter! Homemade hack job. Made me sick.)

I'll take some pics later this week. I dont keep the boat at my house. I should have known better than posting about a new boat without pics, lol. Well it may not be an I/O I may have my acronymes messed up, been a good while since I messes with boats. The boat has a mercruiser 260hp V8 and a mercruiser outdrive. Sorry if thats not I/O. Between racing cars, flying planes, and boats there are ways too many to keep up with lol.

Yup, that's an I/O! I didn't say it didn't exist, just didn't know of it.

The other Exciter I was talking about was a boat I went to see locally. As you know, the Exciter is a closed bow. Imagine my surprise when I found a seat cut in to the bow- the only way to get to it was to step on the dash and over the windshield.
