Hi all,

Just joined the boating community and the forum.
Have just acquired a '97 Convincor 253 with the standard 454 Merc/Bravo setup.

It needs some TLC, a good cleaning in and out, as well as a full polishing and wax for starters. I think I also need to replace my controls. Pretty sure the Throttle Only button broke on my inaugural voyage. (Commander 3000 classic controls)

Thought I'd seen a post with someone from the 3.5 Mile Marker on LOZ. If so, I'm practically a neighbor - you may have already seen the boat, all white with minimal graphics. though the previous owner didn't run it much.

Looking forward to reading up on the forum, and learning more!

Welcome , I'm from the St. Loius area. We mostly boat on the Mississippi in the Alton pool. Good times there.

Embarrassed that I don't have any yet... I've been the only one to drive it so far. These are from the PO's ad, though it was stored at my dock. Ended up an opportunity buy. It was there... right... there... couldn't.... resist.... :D

Thanks for the welcomes, all.
Spent a few hours trolling around various how-to's, and <drool> picture threads.

Some gorgeous boats in this group.
Look forward to seeing many of you on the water.
