Let me introduce my self, My names Tim, my home state is Maryland. I have been around boats since I have been old enough to be out on one with the old man. I am currently deployed in Afghanistan with the US ARMY. While over here, I came across a 1990 20' Checkmate Senator. 350 with the King Cobra I/O. With the help of my father as I am over here, and unable to work on it, he has put what it seems to be, countless hours in buffing it, tuning up the motor, and hope to have some fun on it when i re deploy this year. I'm always open to ideas and learning about these cool Checkmates! Here are a few pictures when we first picked her up, and after a few hours of buffing, new oil on the teak and a freshly painted out drive!

I am from Elkridge, Howard County. We usually launch into Nabbs Creek. Being a Soldier, i can speak for all of us, that we enjoy knowing that our Country backs us 100%. Makes being over here for the 12 month deployments well worth it.

Tim

That's not far from where I live. I'm just a little south of BWI Airport. Are you any relation to the Coleman Brothers as in Coleman Bros. Speed Shop?

No Relation, that shop has changed hands since before i left, its now Auto Fab racing. My dad owns Coleman's Flooring and Home improvement's. We use to be on route one and Louding Ave many years ago. Thanks for the comments on the boat, trust me, i am chomping at the bit to get home and take her out. Its a shame it will be to cold in January to take her out for the first time, ill have to wait till it warms up!
