i hope i am posting this request in the right spot. here it goes. i was driving along wot and pulled out the emergency stop by accident. i put the plastic piece back on and tried to start the boat. no power up to the front. the horn does not even work. is there a fusable link anywhere? did this happen to anyone eles? the turn around time at the marina is 2 - 3 weeks! need help! the key doesn't have power either.

ok.. if your key doesnt have power... you may have blown your breaker on the engine.. should be a 30 ampe.. push in type red lil button.. , in some instances, there is a cube fuse located on your starter,, and when you look you'll see your main battery cable going to your starter.. attached there is a square (red) cube looking thing.. with a red and a orange wire attached to it.. thats your cube fuse.. it may be bad.. your "cannon" plug may have jiggled loose.. make sure its tight too.. it a big plug in looking thing..... the first thing i would check is your stop laynard.. if its not working properly... you wont have any power in the front of the boat.. its unfortunate, alot of riggers will use the power supply from the engine to operate all the electrics for the rest of the boat.. worked in the old days.. but not now.. the new engines require correct voltage

the stop laynard takes your igniton side out of the equasion.. that mean none of your guages should work.. depending on how the boat is wired the engine may or may not crank.. ( i've seen some wierd wireing)..

thanks

i checked all the breakers. there is a 20 amp and a 50 amp. disconnected the safety and bypassed it, still no power. the only thing left is the 90 amp fuse that is located by the starter. it is part #mer88-79023a91. That has to be it. the trim, radio and bilge work. they are connected to the battery separately. I will see if I can locate the part. Thank you for your help. If there are any other suggestions, please keep them coming. Thanks joe i

The best advice I can give is to start probing around with a test light. Thats the best way to check for a loss of power. Sooner or later, you will track it down. Dont just start replacing breakers or fuses without first tracing down the problem.

thanx happy

it was the cube fuse. thanks for the lead. got the part today and put it in. saved ne alot of time and money. cost only 22.oo bucks should have replaced it when i put in the starter!
