Not an owner....yet

A few more in the driveway

Here are a few more shots. I've been having some problems with the boat and what I thought was the trim. Seem to have it sorted out now, but in the meantime, I have just been cleaning the boat up and trying to make it look good.

what did you find with the trim? I actually have to tap the trim motor on mine to get it to engage which I can only hope will improve with use once I get it on the water in regular use next year, the boat has been sitting for ten years and I am sure I will find other things that need "tweaking".

I was having problems with the trim not working under load. I had a thread in the outboard discussions going about it. Seemed weird because it worked fine when still or on the trailer. I ended up removing the previous owner's hydrofoil and it seems to have taken care of itself, trim now works fine under load. I'm trying to work a few gremlins out of the boat before I have to store it for the year. Hoping to find an appropriate prop, clean up the engine where the PO removed the oil injection system, thorough clean up and some trailer tweaking as I bought it seperately from the boat. Good luck with the Exciter.

Thanks,

Maybe someday I'll hang a bigger motor off the back. For now, I'm just learning how to drive properly as I haven't owned a boat like this before. The engine actually runs real smooth, have a different prop coming as i'm definitely underproped right now. I have been cleaning up the interior with magic erasers and then putting a coat of attwood vinyl protectant on top. The upholstery is great on this boat and the clean up is really making it pop.

Still have a couple stubborn mildew areas on the one side panel. Any ideas? I read somebody went at them with a soft toothbrush, might give that a try. The back bench seat is coming apart this winter, wood is rotted big time on the seat portion, just hoping to carefully remove the upholserty and reapply to a new backer board.

Try one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers on the stubborn spots. Just go easy so you don't damage the vinyl.
