NY Boat Show?

I went with some friends. With the exception of Donzi, Fountain, Sunsation and yes, Baja, the show sucked as usual. If you need a hat, fishing gear, jewelry or some other crap, you will find it there. I think I saw Ginsu knives too.

I did like the Merc display. It was nice to get a close look at the newly released 700 sc,w/ NXT drive. Nice piece, if you have about $90k sitting around.

I went today - Vinny nailed it - SOS for the NYC show - very slow. Most dealers say business is way off. Fountain was moving a few big time boats though.

I had to fly up and help work the NYC show last weekend. Sad to say, but there were about 5 times as many people downstairs in the Javits Ctr checking out the Motorcyle Show. There were a few cool displays, but the crowd seemed to be down form last year, and last year was by no means a record breaker. I'm hoping the NYC show isn't an indication of things to come for the season here in the Carolina's!
