only 3inch exaust on my senator

I have an 87 senator and I an looking at high performance exaust, capains call diverters, tips etc.Iam wondering if all small block senators came with 3inch or 4inch exaust? Mine has3 inch all the way ; risers, hose and tips. Can I simply drill my transom to accept 4inch tips.I have the fiberglass ,raised center, swim platform.I notice the tips are quite close to the underside off the platform, maybe going to 4 inch tips might lower my pipes to much(1/2 an inch). Will I have problems with "inversion"?,

4 inch thru-hulls

I just installed 4 inch thru hulls with the long tips from rex marine and silent choice from CP performance this summer on my 1991 Senator.Very tight and lots of measuring before any cutting but fit really well. the tips have flappers built in and extra security of the silent choice flappers.I havent had any issues and have been out in some pretty big seas around here.Just boated both days this weekend on the South coast on British Columbia .Did about 80 miles on Sat and about 50 miles today. If you have any quetions or problems feel free to ask me,i could probably try to post some pics for you.one thing you will have to do is remove the swim grid temperarely to clearance it around the tips

THank you:what year is your senator .detailed pictures would be appreciated. where abouts do you live.I am in Salmon arm ,bc Did you say you had your senator on the ocean thiis last weekend brrrrr!! Its 2 degrees up here.I would love to be able to boat right know. My email is-peter.b1965@live.com thanks again Peter

do you have slash cut tips and the same raised center swim grid? any pictures specifically of the motor comp. and rear profile ?? Thank you for your input.

I would like to get some slash cut tips, I was watching a few 3 inch sets on Ebay and they were pretty cheap. I was just about to click buy it now, figuring mine were 3 inch. Good thing I deciced to go measure. They look like they would be easy to change, plenty of room with out removing the swim platform.
