We have had a bunch of boats over the years including two checkmates,
Right now we have the Pulse w/ the 225 merc. and a Lowe 24ft pontoon with a 40hp Merc. GPS top speed of 21MPH!!! with two aboard.
My son is starting to want a boat of his own he's 13 so I will be on the lookout for something for him soon.

I guess I might as well post some pics of my other boat:

1980 Glassmaster 18 1/2 foot bowrider. 305 Chevy, Weiand dual plane, Edelbrock 600, thru hull exhaust, timing bumped a little. It makes a lot of people do a double take when I start it up since a boat that looks like this shouldn't sound like that. It runs around 48mph and will run 50 if its completely empty. Its been in my family since around 1983 or so when my Dad bought it from the neighbors at our old summer house here on Greenwood Lake. All the interior vinyl is original except for the sun deck but I have replaced most of the backing wood.













I'll probably have to let it go in the spring to help offset the cost of the Starliner. If I had a place to work on it I'd probably give it the TLC it deserves, do the back part of the floor, and keep it but one boat is enough work. Hopefully I can find a good home for her.

!972 Searay/ TRi-hull 19FT. 302ci. Payed $800.00 in 1986 New seats , cleaned it up .. Did 30mph at first.. Repropped it to 46mph.. Big old yellow slug.. Got rid of wife & sold boat for $3,500 in year 2000.. First boat and had a blast.. Now.. 89 Senator.. Always wanted a Checkmate.. The speed and the noise. Lovin It !!

He just might!! , At 13 and hasn't learned fear yet and hes predisposed to make everything he's in go as fast as it possibly can. ( I don't know where he got that from?! )
But a nice playmate is what I was looking for, The problem is if he ran it with the 150 he would be faster than me, I dont think I could deal with that.
