i have a 78 trimate and need to know how high i can set the motor on the boat its a 115 merc thank you

If I had that combo, I'd start with putting the propshaft centerline 4" below the bottom of the boat. There's no particular 'perfect' spot to start with, it all depends on your prop and what you're going to do with the boat.
