I have a '03 ZT 260 496 Mag and I was having a porposing problem...took it to checkmate and they found out my factory installed trim tabs were set too low....so when I was going across the lake and thinking my tabs were up they were still dragging in the lake. Make sure they are about 3" above parallel when they are full up....just my 2cents. Checkmate said that was probably scrubbing at least 3mph off and keeping the engine from reving up to 4800. It was only reving 4600...only 70 hours on it.
 
E the vicking When running almost WOT it rides high on pad then gets realy loose and boat slips out of control to left . Sometimes to the right. Theres alot of play in steering wheel also . Can move wheel back & forth 3 in . before drive moves. Need help before next year. johnboyz85
