Possible Deck Scratches

I have a problem and I’m not sure how to go about fixing it. When we pull up to a beach or bar or whatever in my Pulse 185, everyone always seems to get out and walk across the deck right in front of the open bow area. It drives me crazy. My wife already thinks I’m obsessive and spend way too much time cleaning our vehicles. I make sure I keep a lot of polish on that area and so far I have no scratches but they seem to be inevitable. To me it is the same as someone walking across the hood of my Corvette. Anybody have any suggestions?

I have the same concerns about my convincor, If they don't wear shoes and they don't have sand on thier feet they shouldn't scrath it. lay down some ground rules (tacfully) don't get to anal. or you might be doing alot of boating by yourself

SOMETIMES BOATING BY YOURSELF ISN'T THAT BAD. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE WALKING OVER YOUR DECK, CRUSHED CHEETOS IN THE CARPETING, SPILLED COKE/BEER, STAINING SUNTAN OIL ON YOUR SEATS AND THERE IS NOBODY AROUND TO TELL YOU TO SLOW DOWN!!!!

I use a rubber bath mat (white) and lay it on my bow if we have to walk on the deck of my 253. Then roll it up and stow it when not in use.

ive seen the bath mat thing also, actually a longer runner with a rebber backing. seemed to work great, ill be looking for one by next season!!

Ya boating by your self aint bad. On my convincor most every one crawls in and out on the port side behind the drivers seat I can watch whats going on there. I don't let any one on my bow unless its a hottie in a thong while floating. The deck on a convincor is slippery anyway.

Hey Jupiter Pulsare, I bought my boat from Jupiter florida from a guy named mike vali Know him? He said my convicor was the boat they used in the 98 brochure. It looks like it. He said he bought it sraight from the miami boat show it's fully loaded. I don't know for sure but it sounds like it.
