Pulsare 2100 BR for Sale?

I have felt your pain. I have been thrugh this many times over the yaers and most recently, when my dad was looking for an 18" Checkmate I looked all over the earth for a good used one. He like you is very fussy. I drove into Minnesota twice and looked at a couple of "mint" condition boats that would best be described as garbage.

I know it is tough to find something used that will meet his expectations, but I really don't apppreciate people wasting my time when the product isn't even close to the description. He ended up buying a new 2005 1850 Pulsare from Dave in Fargo and could not be happier.

I would suggest that you give Dave a call, 1-800-451-8840. He may have something or can look for you. Even though he is quite a ways from you he has managed to ship boats to people from Southern Ontario before. Don't let the distance scare you. Dave is honest and you can go to the bank on his description when it comes to the condition of his product.:)

GARBAGE!! Come on now!!:shakehead:

I am still searching!

In the event that anyone is wondering if I have noticed the 1996 Pulsare 2100 BR for sale in Wisconsin... I am still looking!

Here is my response to Beekrox after several private messages and e-mails:

Mark,

I have several dilemma's. The first is obvious, Minneapolis is very, very far from me. I am guessing 1000 to 1100 miles one way. The second, figuring out how much to offer for a boat I have not seen or tested. The third, having a Mercury dealer near you run a variety of tests to the motor and boat at your convenience and my expense before even entertaining an offer. The last is the time of year. Who wants to haul a Checkmate in the winter for 1000+ miles with salt and rocks flying behind a truck...poor boat and trailer!

You can appreciate the risk I am assuming with a long distance purchase. You have also probably seen my original post on the Checkmate Forum web site, where I describe the purchase of a 2001 Pulsare 2100BR from Storm King Marine in October for $13,600 USD. If that sale had gone through and the boat had been as nice as the description, I would have gotten an amazing deal.

I do not want to insult you with an offer, given your asking price of $XX,XXX USD. The reality is, the four dilemma's described above lead me to think that I better be getting a smoking deal.
I am going to pass on the boat for now. If you reconsider your asking price please feel free to e-mail me the new price.

Thank you for your time and responses.

Xsv spd you still looking for another boat? I have a 1995 pulsare 2100 br with a 2.5 Lt 200 xri efi merc. It is listed in the forum under [ 1995 pulsare 2100 bowrider for sale by peter]. It is red with white and black stripes and red and white interior. It is in excellent shape. I'm now asking $15,000 o.b.o. I know you live in ottawa and I live 40 miles from chicago but just wanted to let you know mines for sale. If interested contact me peter at 1-630-966-1630 thanks.

Not sure what I want anymore:confused:. I have only used two tanks of gas on my boat this summer. Getting out is harder now with a one year old. I think I may just sell mine and wait a couple of years until she is older. One though is a 24 to 27 foot Checkmate, Fountain, Formula, Donzi or even a Baja if I have to. Whatever has already depreciated enough that I can buy it and keep it for a couple of year and loose minimal money as I have with my past two Checkmates...

It sure sucks looking at my boat in the garage all summer and using it so little.

It's damn hard to sell a boat in Canada now with the dollar being so high. Alot of Canadians ( including myself ) buy in the US now...much cheaper!

I have EXACTLY the boat you want...a 2007 Pulsare BR that is just like the one on Checkmate's web site...red and white. The boat has several extras...depth finder, covers for the bow and stern..red of course...a matching red and white trailor, etc. This boat has been dried stored under a cover at a gated Marina and has been in the lake
only four times. My email is: herbertm1971@aol.com
I have been searching for countless hours for a used Pulsare 2100 BR. I currently own a 1995 Pulsare 2100 and need the extra room up front (new addition to family). I recently purchased a 2001 Pulsare 2100 BR from Storm King Marine but when I arrived (7 hour drive one way!) the boat that had been described as "like new" was far from looking the part. Needless to say I left it there.

I am not interested in a boat that has been beat or has spent most of it's life being "tweeked" for those extra 2 or 3 miles per hour. I am a mature owner who takes pride in owning such a quality boat and takes care of everything I own. Therefore you can imagine that I will not be interested in a boat that has been neglected or tortured.

This next purchase will be my third Checkmate. I love my Pulsare, it has a 200 XRi and I drive it mostly on Lake Ontario. I probably would have prefered a 225HP but this boat is such a rare find, that when you see a used one for sale that is in good shape you don't get too picky!

Any help to find what I have described is appreciated! Thank you.

We also have a 08 2100 BR for sale. You can see it elsewhere on this forum. It is a brand new boat, never been off the trailer. It is currently rigged with a 200 EFI that I rebuilt over the winter to keep the price down. Boat has a custom mooring cover, ski tow and bezels, all other equipment is standard. It is on a Eagle trailer with brakes. We are asking $23,000. for the package. Call Bob at 1-800-268-2409

Have to sell mine first before considering another. I know it's been for sale for a long time but my price still seems reasonable to me (17300 CDN). I really havn't used it much for three summers now, maybe two tanks per season. I keep it indoors and I'm anal about toys (no pun intended), so it has been babied. Nothing seems to be moving much anymore! My brother is trying to sell his boat also...nothing but tire kickers...or people with unreasonable offers...oh well it's paid for and I can still enjoy it!
