So I'm about to purchase a 2012 2400 BRX. I previously had a 2400 Pulsare closed bow. I purchased my last one used and it came equipped with some pretty beefy Dana trim tabs. Loved using the tabs. I live on a pretty rough lake and dropping the tabs in the chop significantly improved the ride quality. So I want to equip my new BRX with some. Not quite sure what brand I'll go with yet, but nonetheless...
The previous boat had the stainless steel ladder on the stern which interfered with the tabs, so the bottom half of the ladder (the fold down part) had been removed. So we basically used the tab as the step up to get to the ladder. It worked, but I hated seeing the ladder like that. Always looked broken. Wasn't a huge fan of putting the weight on the tab either when getting in the boat.
The new BRX has the plastic platform style swim ladder on the stern with the spring up step. Although I dig that design, I'm assuming it's going to have to go as it's pretty much where I would need to mount the tab on that side.
So long story short, what have you all done with your tabs and the swim ladder? Any pictures of your set-ups? Suggestions?

the springed boarding ladder will touch the tab enough to mark the ladder but not bend it nor damage the tab.
